Equuleus is a faint and obscure constellation located just north of yesterday and the celestial equator. Its name in Latin means "little horse”.  I relate to it wanting to play music, yet I am always surrounded by stars and groups of stars that are so much bigger and brighter. Pegasus is a constellation in the northern sky, named by the Greeks after a winged horse.  Well over 1000 square degrees bigger than Equuleus, Pegasus & its Great Square remind me of my favorite rock stars that I have paid tribute to here.  I could never be in their realm but I am beyond blessed that one of my all time favorite guitarists, Johnny Echols has played on each song! The best bass player on the planet, Leland Sklar is also on two tracks! Thank you to Steve Walsh who let me rearrange one of his all time classics.  Thanks to the band Love, Poco and Spirit for their amazing music. Love to you all!  Thanks for listening!

Love,

Laurie

LOVE’S ECHO

Words and Music by: Laurie Larson

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Bass: Leland Sklar

Guitars, Keys, Violin: Laurie Larson

Times like these

Call for more love please

Love’s echo, Love’s echo, Love’s echo right now

May this be the portal where the light comes in

May it reach every heartbeat

Put it on repeat

Love’s echo, Love’s echo, Love’s echo right now

Let it reverberate

It’s never too late

Love’s echo, Love’s echo, Love’s echo right now

May this be the portal where the light comes in

Even in the darkest places

Even in the saddest faces

Let Love’s echo, Love’s echo, Love’s echo

Find them all

Let love stand tall

Love’s echo, Love’s echo, Love’s echo right now

Yeah

Said, it's all right

I won't forget

All the times I've waited patiently for you

And you'll do just what you choose to do

And I will be alone again tonight my dear

Yeah

I heard a funny thing

Somebody said to me

"You know that I could be in love with almost everyone

I think that people are the greatest fun"

And I will be alone again tonight my dear

Yeah

I heard a funny thing

Somebody said to me

"You know that I could be in love with almost everyone

I think that people are the greatest fun"

And I will be alone again tonight my dear

COLOR OF YOUR IDEAS RUN TOGETHER

Words and Music by: Laurie Larson

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Bass, Guitars, Keys, Violin, Drums, Vocals: Laurie Larson

Lending our voices everyday spells out love

Circle of shadows, square of light

Hope your tomorrows turn out right

Helping our people everyday spells out hope

Color of ideas run together

Following how they blend

Together on the mend

Run together, run together

Edge toward the center

middle at the top

Where dreams enter

And won’t stop

Color of ideas run together

Following how they blend

Together we’ll send

Run together, run together

Lending our voices everyday spells out love, love, love

Color of ideas run together

See how the painting ends

Created by my best friend

Run together, run together

LIMITLESS

Words by: Laurie Larson Music by: Laurie Larson & Rusty Young

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Bass: Leland Sklar

Guitars: Rusty Young & Paul Cotton

Drums: George Grantham

Guitars, Keys, Violin, Vocals: Laurie Larson

Facing challenge after challenge

Looking for any trace of hope I can scavenge

What’s their meaning

as the sun's rays break through beaming.

Finding what you want

Is anyone’s guess

All I know is… You are Limitless, You are Limitless

I could never love you any less

And I know you are Limitless you are Limitless

More good things accumulating

More truth is illuminating

It soon takes hold and your soul is never, never growing old

You’re all I want

I must confess

And I know you are Limitless, You are Limitless

THE RIVER IS WIDE

Words and Music by:  Billy Admire and Gary Knight

Originally recorded in 1967 by the Forum

also recorded in 1969 by the Grass Roots

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Bass, Guitars, Drums, Sound Effects, Vocals: Laurie Larson

The sky was clear on that windy day

Till the clear blue sky began to turn to gray

The lightening flashed, the thunder roared above

Then fell a drop of rain to start our love

Let the river get wide – the river gets long now

The water runs deep as our love gets strong now

So baby, don't you fight, and say you belong now to me

Upon the roof we heard the gentle rain

With the rhythm of our heartbeats, down it came

As it hit, each drop, our hearts could feel the pain

No one on Earth can stop a drop of rain

And the river gets wide – the river gets long now

The water runs deep as our love gets strong now

So baby, don't you fight, and say you belong now to me

Let the river get wide – the river gets long now

The water runs deep as our love gets strong now

So baby, don't you fight, and say you belong now to me, yeah

Let the river get wide – the river gets long now

The water runs deep as our love gets strong now

So baby, don't you fight, and say you belong now to me

JUST NORTH OF YESTERDAY

Words and Music by: Laurie Larson

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Bass, Guitars, Keys, Drums, Sound Effects, Vocals: Laurie Larson

Can you come out and play

Meet me just north of yesterday, just north of yesterday

When minutes have been forsaken

It’s time that I awaken

Help me find my way

Just north of yesterday

Send me a love letter in sound

You know where I can be found

It’s where I long to stay

Just north of yesterday

My vignettes seldom agree

But this time they all want to be

Somewhere lovely they say

Just north of yesterday

Random tales become an autobiography

All the things that made me

Are on full display

Just north of yesterday

Somehow I will cope

I’ll hold on

It’s your message of hope

Just make sure there’s no delay

Just north of yesterday

WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW

Words and Music by:  Steve Walsh

Originally recorded in 1980 by Steve Walsh off the album Schemer Dreamer

Lead vocals: Steve Walsh

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Bass, Backing Vocals: Laurie Larson

Drums: Ed Cassidy

Arrangement: Laurie Larson

I pulled my shades to see the day

After sleeping way past noon

An ache inside my head was burnin'

The sky was gloomy, full of grey

And I knew I'd woke too soon

But far too late to be returning

The night before I lay in bed

And I thought of many things

Oh, how the world was full of sorrow

How people here still mourn their dead

Where the grip of war still clings

How they must wait until tomorrow

The buildings here conflict in style

And the church bells never ring

The statue's face is full of sadness

And no one laughs, no one smiles

And no one says a thing

So nothing lifts the air of madness

Ain’t gonna wait until tomorrow, tomorrow, tomorrow

FLYING SOLO

Words and Music by:  Timothy B. Schmit and Jacob Brennan

Originally recorded in 1975 by Poco off the album Head Over Heels

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Guitars: Paul Cotton & Rusty Young

Drums: George Grantham

Bass, Guitars, Vocals: Laurie Larson

No, no

Please don't go

Take it easy

Move it slow

Yeah, yeah

Say it ain't so

I got the feelin'

You want me no more

And you say

You've got to run away

Everyday

You think you'll find your way

But it's OK

'Til you find out you've been flyin' solo

Solo

No, no

Don't go below

Rise above it

Let it flow

Yeah, yeah

There are seeds you must sow

Grab ahold and don't let go

Take the key

And unlock the door

What's that you see

Another corridor

And there's much more

'Til you find out you've been flyin' solo

Solo, Solo

Have you ever been dreamin'

'Bout the way it could have been

Then you wake up disbelievin'

It's a sin

Oh, but then

You're flyin' solo

Solo

So much to know

Feel the rhythm

Head to toe

I know

We all must grow

But raise the curtain

Before the show

Do you feel

You've been mesmerized

Makin' a deal

To free you from your ties

It's all right

'Til you find out you've been flyin' solo

STAR TRAILS OF PEGASUS AND EQUULEUS

Words and Music by: Laurie Larson

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Bass, Guitars, Keys, Drums, Sound Effects, Vocals: Laurie Larson

My star riding companions

Are with me all night long

Making their way through the eons

Singing along to their favorite songs

Takin’ me down, takin’ me down, takin’ me down your star trails

Your beauty astounds

Between the infrared

And all that’s left unsaid

All this light surrounds

All that is equine, all that is divine

Takin’ me down, takin’ me down, takin’ me down your star trails

Taking your reign

All these wonders in range

Yet no one can explain

This path will always change

Takin’ me down, takin’ me down, takin’ me down your star trails

ANYWAY BYE BYE

Words and Music by:  Richie Furay

Originally recorded in 1970 by Poco off the album Poco

and recorded in 1980 by Randy Meisner off the album One More Song

Lead Guitar: Johnny Echols

Keys: Sterling Smith

Drums: Craig Krampf

Bass, Violin, Guitars, Vocals: Laurie Larson

Are you sad that I'm leavin'

Well baby, bye byes aren't always pleasin'

Would you come along with me

If I was leavin'

I been down on my knees

Long enough for pleadin'

I got to clear my head

Changes that I dread

Are waiting for me

Waiting for me

Anyway, bye bye

Many thoughts

Have passed

Between us

But when words aren't made clear

They become so meaningless

I gotta get away from here

I'm tossin' in my sleeplessness

Wondering who

Has the right to happiness

I got to clear my head

Changes that I dread

Are waiting for me

Waiting for me

Anyway, bye bye
