Alone Again, Or

The band Love first recorded Alone Again, Or in the year I was born, 1967.  I thought it would be fitting to cover it, as I have been a fan of Love since I first started in radio.  Also guitarist Johnny Echols has been a great friend since I met him and Georgiana Steele-Waller onstage at Scott McKenzie's Memorial at the Whisky A Go Go, October 14, 2012.

Scott's song San Franciso was also on the charts the month I was born.  I took this photo of Johnny's reflection after the memorial when he picked up Scott's guitar to check it out.

It was an amazing tribute, I also shared the stage with members of the Byrds, the Mamas & Papas and Barry McGuire. I also took this photo of Johnny during the tribute:

Have been so honored to be onstage with Johnny at the Whisky a few years later, and Johnny has played on songs of mine starting with my Story Road album.

On my latest album Pegasus and Equuleus Johnny has played on every single track, including his masterpiece, Alone Again, Or.  Congratulations to Johnny Echols and Love for 19 sold out shows in the U.K. that just wrapped up this week.  Robert Plant showed up to two of their gigs!
