teenage blues. While still in high school I volunteered at KUNM the college radio station in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was in love with records and found these five albums from Firefall in the station library and played every track on my mid-day freeform show over the course of two years. At the time there was no way I would have ever thought I'd meet these fine musicians. Not only did I get to meet them. But lead singer and songwriter Rick Roberts and his wife Mary even came to one of my gigs in Golden, Colorado and played my 12 string, I was so honored! Rick even helped me when I got stranded in Atlanta, he had one of his friends, Steven Charles rescue me from the airport. Guitarist Jock Bartley even played guitar on one of the songs I covered by Steve Walsh, "The River". He also encouraged my photography, and suggested I go into a larger format. Mark Andes was also so kind to me, and he was in two of my very favorite bands, Spirit and Firefall! I will just never forget the kindness of these men! Today the DJ Phil Maq of WHFR emailed me to say a track of mine will be featured on his show Theme Attic! He's so cool to let me know, as it is so hard to track airplay on college radio. So I popped in to listen, and at that moment, Just Remember I Love You was playing and it brought me to tears and brought me right back to my teenage years. After the song ended, much to my surprise the DJ was interviewing

Jock Bartley, wow! At the end of the interview the DJ asked him if he remembered a few indie musicians, and mentioned me and if he remembered playing on my songs. Jock said he did and then they went into a super cool discussion on session work. How is it possible I went from one side of the speakers as a teenager, to being a DJ playing Firefall on the other side of the speakers, to meeting my heroes, to now hearing my name in an interview about Firefall and my new songs being played on the same show as Firefall's? Such a miracle! Music saves! Oh yes it does! When everything else goes wrong, it's there for you!
