Things are Looking up for Rare Skies

"Rare Skies is a full-length studio album released in 2026 by multi-instrumentalist and artist Laurie Larson. Showcasing her signature multi-genre soundscapes, Larson wrote, recorded and mastered the project entirely on her own, featuring standout tracks like "Still Haven't Found the Treasure" "Kashmir," and "East of My Heart."

The album continues her signature blend of celestial-themed music with the unique song, "Ring Nebula". Another thing rare about Laurie Larson is that she plays every instrument on most of the songs.

A few exceptions that feature the lead guitar of Johnny Echols of Love are, "Arrival", "Kashmir" & "I Wish I Knew How it Would Feel to be Free" and Lon Rozelle of Falcon Eddy and The Brats on the title track for drums. Although Larson's take on the cover songs are exceptional, where she really shines is her own songwriting. This is one of the best albums of the summer!" - Richard Furhmann KUSC
